Perfect interpretation!

The progression was solid and simple. I really like the overlapping conundrum of it all. Not many bad things to say except maybe the sample choices but that wasn't really all that bad.

Great work again!

thanks for the review and recommending

Aww, come on man...

We all know that this is better than most of that junk. A ten just for the Mock-up. I would put some constructive criticism, but... yeah. That wouldn't make a lot of sense, would it?

So true.
10 for lol

Quality indeed

I never get tired of your piano style. I like the new drum sequencing you incorporated. The build up was super solid, the synth at 2:11 was so subtle yet very intricate in my mind and set the main build perfectly.

Another master piece!

Thank you DjInTheDark!! :) :) :)

Whats that I hear? I think that it might be the...

BIG, BAD, BASS.

You sly dog, pulling a pitch build at 3:11 when I'm not ready. ;) I really was really happy with this. All of the build ups were perfect and perfectly intricate. I haven't downloaded anything in a really long time, but this one called for a change. Also the way you shaped the song in such a way that it seems half as long as it really is, is in my mind, is the quality of a professional. I also think that this is good in the fact that it raises an interesting question, what type of house is this really? Because you can't really say its traditional, and you can't condemn it to pure electro either. meaning that its some sort of evolutionary hybrid of the two (or three, or four for that matter). Also meaning that its something completely different, while still being the somewhat familiar. So we have come to the conclusion that this piece is something new, while still using various elements that are familiar to us and that we enjoy. Well, last time I checked that was what the definition of top notch, A++ quality that people pay good money for, am I right? Ah well, you know that and I know that so I guess there's no point in ranting about it. Only one tiny little beef: I think the chorus should have more at 3:35, it sounds ever so slightly empty there, mostly because you didn't bring back the remainder rhythm sections back until a whole pattern later.

Wonderful stuff! Definitely for a hard electro (or in your case, a electro-house-badass hybrid) mix if I decide to put together something anytime soon.

A tad lange...

Wow,

I really liked the styling of the melody and the melodic approach. In this it almost seemed like there were some elements that weren't needed, (crowd clap and snare at the first build up) all you really need for both of those was those wonderful FX sweeps you used.

The synths are perfect and the transitions for the progression were mapped really well. And on the other side of the spectrum, for things like drum elements over all, there wasn't enough to fill, and if you just maybe added some extras in there especially after the big build ups, I think it would really cut down on the repetition while keeping the track length the same.

Also at the were that epic lead comes in at 3:15, you could probably just move the snare to there. And i really thought you should have at least gotten back to the beat drive that you had at the beginning after that last build up, instead of the off beat pattern with the kick. You should definitely try to get everything at that final part were it would kinda bring everything together, and if you were to add those extra elements like I said (maybe some hi hats or other type of rhythm add-on) it would make it sound superb.

Great job over all, just fix a few of those things and it will be even more awesome than it is now!

Thanks a bunch mate, will take it into account and make the necessary changes :)

In the now...

I'll try to base all my critique on this alone, cuz otherwise It will be a big long page of how awesome you are rather than about this song. But it will probably turn into that anyway. ^_^

This was simple and elegant. The harmonies and overall drive are outstanding. The kick is very direct well EQ'ed. I also really like the diversity of vocals and vocal range. The grand pause was perfectly timed. Your drums are normally very intricate, but this seems so much more simple, and thats what I love about it. That fact that you can complicate or simplify something and it will shine either way.

Amazing job! He has returned!

ZeRo-BaSs responds:

thanks for the in-depth review!! :D

Half way there...

I like this, then I have always liked jump notes and spliced vocals. I do feel it could almost use more, like taking the original idea to the next step. Like making it a lot more glitchy. You already have the vocals down as far as glitching goes, but I think this effect should effect throughout the instrumentation to.

Great job, lots of potential in many directions!

Hmmmmm, sounds interesting.
I'm planning on doing a Trance version sometime too. :3

Thanks for stopping by to review!

One tiny thing...

Ok , maybe its not tiny thing. Its super load. Which is making it extremely distorted. You don't need to do any EQing from what I can tell (which isn't much) just turn it down to AT LEAST half volume, probably more. But besides that, like the build ups and key change. Nice song, BUT TURN IT DOWN!!!

DJ-Babokon responds:

I appreciate your review. You really helped. :)

Ambient?...

What are you doing?! This belongs in the House section! Very nice. But I will say that if you were to make it any longer than it is you absolutely have to try and avoid the repetitiveness of it. Otherwise it will kill it.

Other than that, great stuff!

MmmCake responds:

Thanks! i did go for more of an ominous loop rather then a house song, so thats kinda why its repetetive

Sorry for the wait...

Its taken me forever to get a chance to seriously sit down and write a proper review. Anyway, great job. The overall chord structure is very good. I have only three very minor things to say; At 1:37, it almost feels like you've given it too much power, seeming like your suggesting a build up, but instead it cools down to the end instead. And Right after that at the new phrase, it then suggested that you were about to start the chorus again to prepare for the conclusion. But in reality, there really is no chorus is there eh? But thats what I like about this song, is that it never focuses on one particular part of the melody or drum or what-have-you. There is a tiny hint/speck of repetitiveness in there maybe around 0:50. Which isn't a problem for me, personally I like a little of that in there now and then, it just that others may not be so forgiving if you see what I mean.

Just thought I'd point it out. Great job, have fun in round 4!! XD
