Really excited to finally get out of California. To be honest I can't believe we waited this long to leave. Everything's looking clear as long as I don't have to deal with the logistics of any of it. :P
As far as my production goes, I'll be busy for sure. I can't practice any of my sets right now though because my equipment is all packed up from when we recently got new carpeting, and there won't be any time in between now and the move at the end of May to get anything done, so it's collecting dust as for now. Hope I'm not to rusty before I address the community and rebuild my business biases. Considering I'll only be out there for two years it's going to take an act of god to get any gigs of any type. Who knows.
The bright side is the music community up there is supposedly very very large. And I love cold weather (especially rain) so I think it will all work out really well when all is said and done. Our biggest leap is going to be our 102 year old Baby Grand Piano. The moving company supposedly has experience with moving pianos frequently, but after the last time we had to move it out of the tiny room that i's in (and back in again) we are going to be especially careful.
Oh, and if you live near/in Seattle, please comment on what you think about it as a city/area in general. (people, places, infrastructure, ect.)
