Is hard. My sister and I have started planning on a little animation series. She just recently bought Toon Boom animate and the plan was that she would draw the art and I would animate it, put music to it and we would both contribute to the voice acting and plot progression stuff. The learning process of this program has proven to be quite difficult thus far. And since we can't afford a drawing tablet, I'm worried this will stall the production period of the series once I have gotten the hang of Toon Boom. Hopefully this will get off the ground at some point this year. Not sure when though since we only started drawing the main characters two weeks ago or so.

For now, I'm working on a simple little music video test animation that I may be able to submit for Robot Day, but it most likely won't be finished by then.

Well, I am just about settled in my new home here the great state of Washington. So far has been a blast. I'm hoping to get some real work done here as the industry here is unbelievably vast and diverse, I don't know where to start honestly. Meet some people, party a bit, repeat. The saga continues...

And I finally had the time to setup my junk on this new desk I got. Prutty nifty ain't it?

I made it!

Really excited to finally get out of California. To be honest I can't believe we waited this long to leave. Everything's looking clear as long as I don't have to deal with the logistics of any of it. :P

As far as my production goes, I'll be busy for sure. I can't practice any of my sets right now though because my equipment is all packed up from when we recently got new carpeting, and there won't be any time in between now and the move at the end of May to get anything done, so it's collecting dust as for now. Hope I'm not to rusty before I address the community and rebuild my business biases. Considering I'll only be out there for two years it's going to take an act of god to get any gigs of any type. Who knows.

The bright side is the music community up there is supposedly very very large. And I love cold weather (especially rain) so I think it will all work out really well when all is said and done. Our biggest leap is going to be our 102 year old Baby Grand Piano. The moving company supposedly has experience with moving pianos frequently, but after the last time we had to move it out of the tiny room that i's in (and back in again) we are going to be especially careful.

Oh, and if you live near/in Seattle, please comment on what you think about it as a city/area in general. (people, places, infrastructure, ect.)

Relocating: Hi-Ho Seattle!

Doing a possible remix right now. I say possible because I'm not really sure yet if I want to go for original content on this seeing as I haven't done any remixes in quite some time. Perhaps some of a cross between Reckless by Setrise & Matthew Nagle and Diesel by Tempo Giusto. That's my initial idea so far, we'll see how it turns out.

Other than that, going to revisit True Progression, as it was on software when I originally recorded it, but now I really need to rework on hardware for the sake of neatness. Especially since it was the only one I decided to keep on soundcloud to try and save some space, which didn't work any. I'll probably move a couple of tracks around and when I figure out the who and the what of that track I randomly found somewhere and everybody seemed to like, I'll let you all know. When I found it I was looking for a remixed copy of "WTF" but settled for the original mix and found that mystery track that was so interesting as people said.

Putting a new trance mix together after I don't even know how long. Bought some CD's with some really good content from a year or so ago. Lot's of Victor Dinaire tracks and various so I'm very happy about that. They're premixed however, being drawing up the loop sequences for mix ins/outs and is pretty hairy considering the sloppiness of the original CD track cut job. A challenge I am willing to tackle!

Right now I have an ear infection in my right ear, going to the doctor tomorrow but for now it has become very difficult to EQ or pan anything. Hopefully we can get it cleared up so I can get back to work.

Tschüss!

Have my equipment is all back together again finally. Right now the length comes out to about 1:20:30-ish, I hoping to shorten that a bit. Still working on my P's and Cue's (pun intended) to get it all nice and pretty, but I'll hopefully get it onto Sound Cloud soon (even though I'm out of space and I would have to move either True Progression or make an alt account). Leaning towards making a new account anyway.

Something came up, I'd rather not go into it. I was planning on reposting all together, but I think I'll just replace the files instead.

Enjoy the full songs.

Full Album to be Posted...

I have been working diligently for the past few months with intents of some new stuff. Posted a few new things here and there over time but nothing yet so far for what I have planned.

Things on the list:
1.) New Album with Artist Craze Media
2.) Finish updating style
3.) A few collabs
4.) Equipment repair (long over due) to put out some new sets
5.) New website [still in planning]
6.) Youtube (a variety of things)
7.) -As soon as the album comes out- Preview tracks for NG

As of right now I am in the process of getting most of these things. Thank god that it's Summer, for I can focus my attention much better.

I will be posting again once some of these things are done, if not, when the album comes out.
Cya Soon!

***EDIT***

The album is finished! I am now waiting on ACM to get it going (or get themselves going at least), :/ we'll see how things progress. But for now I will start posting the preview tracks for NG. Expect to see stuff soon!

Honestly after reviewing other submissions near and below my mix, I have to say I didn't deserve such an honor. My absolute favorite song, Rave Unlimited by ZeRo-BaSs, was below mine for some time... that really caught me off guard. So in my mind this is more of a lucky break than anything else. Still, it's pretty damn awesome anyway XD.

I've been getting a lot of messages asking about how I make my music. So I decided to post this to explain the whole story.

THE PROGRAM:

Well I'd first like to start out by talking about what program I use. I use MadTracker Version 2.6.1 (Download at the official MadTracker site) There is a screenshot of it at the bottom of the post (in the program you can change the color scheme of the layout).

This program comes with studio quality sound samples (drums, pads, leads, ect.) and some of the best free VSTi and effect plugins.
Unlike most other programs, (Fruity Loops, Reason, ect.) this program is ABSOLUTELY FREE. You do not need to buy the full version to use it at full capacity. However you can purchase the full version [recommended] for a flat fee of about $25 (Limited Registration) or $50 (Maximum Registration) for some extra features that will make your life a hell of a lot easier.

This program is a great starting program for amateur musicians and composers, though I don't think you will switch to anything else after using it. Most people who have tried this program and do not use it very long only because getting started can be confusing (but are most other programs much better?). Anyway, if you have any trouble with getting started you can use the MT site tutorial here or use my site's tutorial here. Or you can access MadTracker's built-in IRC chat system and ask for help from you fellowMadTracker users.

THE VST's:

Aside from the program I use, I use a variety of other recourses. Some extra VSTi's effects that I use include:

Upstereo (Effect VST) Dramatically increases stereo surround-sound and can decrease it to mono. Very sensitive parameters, great for amping up sound and increasing room sizes on a reverb or a delay.

ProtoPlasm (Instrument VST) Synthesize amazing pads and strings with this easy to use, synth-sound-bank-like instrument. Great for Trance, Rave, and Dark Wave.

mda VST Set (Effect VST Set) 31 effect VST ranging anywhere from the BeatBox to the Vocoder. (My personal favorite is the Stereo enhancer.

THE SOUNDS:

Also, along with the sounds that come with MT2, I use a collection of sound sample, which is about 1.4 GB (MT2 samples not included). And of course I'm not about to list them all =P, so I'll list all the sources from which they came that I can remember...

Programs: I sometimes, in order to gain new material, will hijack a programs sample, and it suprisingly works >=}

FL Studio 8, Reason, Tracktion, Reaper, Jackson, Flex, Renoise, Say It from AnalogX, Acid X-press, Quartz Audio, Dark-wave Studio, RaXnTraX, and also I have record some of the sounds I make with my VST's.

Websites: (Here is an extra list of Sample-Sites) SimplytheBest, SoundHunter, SoundJay, SoundsfromtheArcade, Soundsnap
