Is it just me?

Or does the kick and snare appear to sound exactly the same as the one from Tiesto's - "Bend It Like You Don't Care"...? I inverted and subtracted it from the original song and the two are a perfect match. :\

Bracksta responds:

very good :) yes i did sample that snare and kick, it fit perfectly :)

Noice!

For a semi-start, it is super! I really like the contrast between the two "parts" so to speak in the song. The bass, while very well played in both structure and build, was somewhat unsatisfying. Try to layer different types of basses into each other (subs, leads, mids, backing, ect.) in order to create something greater than the collection of parts itself. At times it, between the end of the intro and the beginning of the chorus, I completely lost any sort of tempo or rhythm. Maybe rework that, put some hats or other type of percussion continuing the residual beat to help keep the beat flowing and moving. Speaking of other percussion, the hats and claps/snares were all very very clean and all around awesome, but use some other percussive affects (rim shots, toms, fx, ect.) to help stabilize the overall drive of the song and support the hats claps and kick. Check out my latest song if you want an example of most of the stuff I mentioned.

All in all, great work! I enjoyed every minute of it.

Thanks, your feedback really helps :D
And I will check out your song.

Lol

It sounds like a normal song and some body's holding down the fast forward button. I know it wasn't supposed to be hilarious but it was.

Wow

One the fewest songs where I got through that 8 minutes with no hint of boredom EVER. If nothing else, I think that is one of the hardest things to ever do in any song.

Truly amazing work.

Because

Chiptunes is indeed sryz bzns. :P

Meh

Too generic for my taste. It's also not a loop really, since the ending is so sudden. I've heard pretty much everything you used in here at least three times in some other song somewhere. Nothing really new here. But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for the apparently shitty computer. So it gets a 7 for effort, even though if that wasn't a factor it would have been more around a 5 or 4 to be honest.

You can do much better than this, I know.

Can't get over that bass.

It so damn evil. This is the kind of stuff I love, the stuff that rips your face of and you say 'thank you' in response. The contrast with vocals is awesome. I reminds me of a super hard bassy Dnb song I heard a long time ago.

Bass made my week. 100/10

It Reminds Me...

Of something I can't quite remember and really wish I could. :/

Its a very suave feel to it, much like a Bach piece down only less mathematical, which is a good thing in this case. Because otherwise it would feel very closed off and boxed in, then lacking the constant movement it provides.

But anyway, glad this account finally got confirmed. Looking forward to new stuff, keep it up!

Ahh . This song represents our past struggles, how our past is never to be forgotten, only accumalating as we grow stronger . Thankyou for the review Bryan ^^ .

The song overall has many emotions in my mind. It has an easy, lite texture to it, all the way down to dark and subjective.

The vocals paint a grim and vivid image of for which the song is named. Grasping a single part of the song is almost impossible before it slips away to form and evolve into something completely new, yet completely familiar. This song puts you on a roller-coaster and into a tunnel, that of which you can only use the one sense that is not blind in darkness, hearing. Some pieces, like this one, can not be comprehended. You can't see it, or hold it, or move it. You can only hope that nothing foreign of nature to it would dare to scramble and/or alter its course form the path in to eternity.

That is this, for the song that should not be ended.

AphoticAthanasy responds:

Thankyou for such a thorough review Bryan . You have described my song to a T .. I wish other people could do that aswell . My songs could give people a fun test to see if they can make a story out of it . It's possible, I already can make many stories . ^^ . Again, thankyou for your FIRST review . ^_^

Super Flow

The pads are exceptional. All its needs is a little drum intricacy and more apparent bass. First impressions are everything, and you've definitely made your mark. But the melody in awesome, keep it up!

Thank you very much and I will work on my drums and try to bring out the bass.
